Kurtxia farmhouse is situated in the district of the same name, in the town of Ispáster, in the region of Lea-Artibai.
About two kilometres from Lekeitio, main nucleus in the region of Lea-Artibai, it is very near the region of Urdaibai, two regions with deeply rooted characters while also different and complementary, one linked to the sea and the other to the land.
The building refurbished to welcome visitors retains the architectural and historic features of its time. At the beginning of the 17th century there were already records of its existence.
Set in a special landscape, where the sea and the mountain merge to form one single natural environment, emerges Kurtxia Farmhouse, a typical structure whose distribution in space constitutes a common and very particular characteristic.
The contrasting landscape together with the peace and quiet make it a unique spot, which through its lookout points penetrates the rough and haughty waters of the Cantabrian Sea, speckled with the bright coloured boats in their continuous comings and goings to the shelter of the harbour.
The building will give visitors the possibility to spend a few days in contact with nature, soaking up the aroma of tradition and culture in its purest form, in welcoming, appealing and bucolic environs
